From 18 to 23 May 2026, the Transnational Training of the “Empowering Youth for Equal Success – EYES” project took place in Niš, Serbia, hosted by Club for Youth Empowerment 018 (KOM 018). The training gathered 20 youth workers and focused on equal employment opportunities, decent work, sexism in the media and its impact on society, as well as the role of media in promoting women’s involvement in the labour market. Through interactive sessions, discussions and practical activities, participants strengthened their capacities to support young people, especially young women and girls, young people from rural areas, minorities and other vulnerable groups, in accessing the labour market and building their future career paths.
The EYES project is implemented by Младежко европейско общество / Youth European Society – YES from Bulgaria, in cooperation with KOM 018 from Serbia, Beyond Borders Italy from Italy, COSI from Romania and GO Alive from Greece. The project aims to increase awareness, advocate for equal employment opportunities and improve the employability of young people, especially NEET youth and those facing additional barriers. Through training, mentoring, research, advocacy and the establishment of local innovation hubs, the project supports young people in developing skills, resilience and confidence, while also strengthening youth workers and partner organizations to continue providing long-term support in their communities.
