🤾 We present you the photos and video from local activities realized within the project Wheelchair Handball Start-Up!
Through info days and open trainings, participants had the opportunity to get to know handball in a wheelchair, sit on the court and make their first moves in this sport. From getting to know the rules and basic skills to passing, shooting and team play, the developed methods are tested directly in practice.
Local tournaments were an opportunity to continue what started as an introduction to a new sport through real play, team spirit and competition. 🏆
Croatian Wheelchair Basketball Association (HSKUK) from Croatia together with its partners, Faculty of Kinesiology of Osjek (KIFOS) from Croatia, Barcel’hona Sports Events from Spain and Club for Youth Empowerment 018 (KOM 018) from Serbia implements the project “Wheelchair Handball – Start Up” in order to raise awareness about this sport and provide more opportunities for social inclusion in and through sport of people with disabilities. Project aims to establish a sustainable foundation for the growth and development of wheelchair handball across Europe, fostering lasting opportunities for participation and social inclusion of individuals with disabilities. StartUp project will be implemented in Croatia, Serbia and Spain from October 2025 to September 2026. It is co-financed by EU.
