Final Event and International Camp - Serve, Set, Empower

From 1–4 October 2026, Niš hosted the Final Event and International Camp and Tournament of the Erasmus+ Sport project “Serve, Set, Empower: Advancing Equality Through Volleyball.” Young volleyball players, coaches, project partners from Serbia, Greece, North Macedonia and Croatia took part in joint mixed-gender volleyball practices, thematic workshops and an international tournament. Through these activities, participants experienced inclusive coaching approaches, strengthened teamwork and communication, and explored topics such as leadership, personal development and gender equality in sport.

The event also included the presentation of the project’s main results, including the Guidelines for the Promotion of Gender Equality in and Through Volleyball, experiences from local testing activities and the impact of the project on participating clubs and young players. During the final consortium meeting, partners evaluated the project, discussed lessons learned, sustainability and follow-up activities, and reviewed the final implementation steps. The activity was coordinated by Club for Youth Empowerment 018 (KOM 018) and Volleyball Club Desetka and marked an important conclusion to the project’s international cooperation and practical work.

Club for Youth Empowerment 018 (KOM 018) – Serbia, together with its partner volleyball clubs: OK “Desetka” – Serbia, Athlos Orestiadas – Greece, OK FORCA VOLEJ – North Macedonia, OK  Pula – Croatia, implements project “Serve, Set, Empower: Advancing Equality Through Volleyball” in order to address issues of gender inequality through development of new and innovative guidelines for mixed-gender teams’ volleyball. This initiative will develop guidelines for promoting gender equality within team sports, specifically volleyball, using non-formal education methods; empower youth through volleyball by providing an inclusive and equal opportunity for both girls and boys to participate; and raise awareness on gender equality issues within local communities through targeted campaigns and workshops involving youth, parents, and coaches. Project activities will be organized in Croatia, Greece, North Macedonia and Serbia in the period 01.10.2025 to 31.12.2026. Project “Serve, Set, Empower” is co-financed by the European Union.
