As part of the Mental Health Matters project, we organized a series of local, national, and international events to promote mental health among men in competitive sports.<\/div>\n
Through street actions, exhibitions, discussions, and sports events, we opened conversations about the importance of mental well-being.<\/div>\n
Inspirational athletes joined us as role models, sharing messages of support and breaking the stigma around mental health in sports.<\/div>\n
Together, we marked key dates such as World Youth Skills Day, the European Week of Sport, and World Mental Health Day \u2014 spreading the message that mental health matters as much as physical strength. \"\ud83d\udcaa\"<\/span>\"\ud83e\udde0\"<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

FuteBola Sport – Centro de Futebol<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span> from Portugal together with partners Club for Youth Empowerment 018 from Serbia, Beyond Borders Italy<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span> from Italy and Barcel’hona Sports Events<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span> from Spain, implements \u201cMental Health Matters\u201d project in the field of sport to promote importance of mental health hygiene while raising the awareness about mental health issues of men in competitive and professional sports. Project consortium is made from youth and sport organizations in order to combine different approaches and expertise so that more attention and visibility is given to the topic of men\u2019s mental health and more specifically of male athletes. Project objectives are 1) To develop new methodology for sport workers for promoting mental health and wellbeing of young men and boys, 2) To train 20 coaches and other sport workers in the field of mental health protection, 3) To create more opportunities for public dialogue on the topic of mental health of men in competitive sports and 4) To raise the awareness about importance of protection of mental health among male athletes. Project is implemented in Portugal, Serbia, Italy and Spain in the period 01.11.2024 \u2013 31.10. 2024 and is co-funded by the EU.<\/div>\n
