FuteBola Sport \u2013 Centro de Futebol from Portugal together with partners Club for Youth Empowerment 018 from Serbia, Beyond Borders Italy from Italy, and Barcel\u2019hona Sports Events from Spain, implements the \u201cMental Health Matters\u201d project\u00a0 in the field of sport\u00a0 to promote the importance of mental health hygiene while raising awareness about mental health issues affecting men in competitive and professional sports.<\/p>\n
The project consortium consists of youth and sports organizations aiming to combine different approaches and expertise so that more attention and visibility is given to the topic of men\u2019s mental health, especially focusing on male athletes.<\/p>\n
Project objectives are:<\/p>\n
1\ufe0f\u20e3 To develop new methodologies for sports workers to promote mental health and well being among young men and boys,<\/p>\n
2\ufe0f\u20e3 To train 20 coaches and other sports workers in the field of mental health protection,<\/p>\n
3\ufe0f\u20e3 To create more opportunities for public dialogue on mental health issues among men in competitive sports,<\/p>\n
4\ufe0f\u20e3 To raise awareness about the importance of mental health protection among male athletes.<\/p>\n
The project is implemented in \ud83c\uddf5\ud83c\uddf9 Portugal, \ud83c\uddf7\ud83c\uddf8 Serbia, \ud83c\uddee\ud83c\uddf9 Italy, and \ud83c\uddea\ud83c\uddf8 Spain between 01.11.2024 \u2013 31.10.2025 and is co-funded by the EU \ud83d\udcb6.<\/p>\n
