It is designed for young people who wish to explore themes of identity, diversity, belonging and solidarity through art, writing, visual expression and collective creative work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme brings together a <\/span><b>diverse group of young people<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 local youth, Roma youth, as well as international students living in Ni\u0161 \u2013 with the aim of learning, creating and building dialogue through an artistic process.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>\ud83c\udfa8<\/b><b> How do we work? (methods and approach)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Within the programme, participants will be able to choose among different creative approaches, including <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">poetry<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">short prose<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">other forms of creative writing<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">storytelling through photography<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, as well as <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">drawing and painting<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. These approaches serve as starting points, not fixed categories.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participants are encouraged to experiment, mix media and combine text, images and visual expression in line with their personal interests and the development of their ideas. The process is open and flexible, with a focus on exploration, dialogue and collective learning, rather than on a predefined format or a perfect final outcome.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>\ud83d\uddd3<\/b><b> What does the programme include?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme is structured around several connected phases:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>31 January\u20131 February \u2013 two-day workshops in Ni\u0161. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme begins with two intensive workshops focused on intercultural dialogue, empathy and creative expression. Through non-formal learning, discussions and artistic exercises, participants will get to know each other, connect and begin developing ideas that will later be expanded.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>February \u2013 mentoring and creative production. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following the workshops, participants will enter a mentoring phase, during which they will work closely with mentors to develop their ideas into concrete artistic works, such as poetry, short texts, photography, illustration, collage, short videos or hybrid forms. Work may be individual or collaborative.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>March \u2013 public exhibitions and presentations. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The final phase includes public exhibitions and presentations of the created works, accompanied by conversations with the audience on the themes addressed by the project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>\ud83d\udc65<\/b><b> Who can apply?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The call is open to young people aged <\/span><b>18\u201324<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, regardless of previous experience in art. Applications are especially encouraged from:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">local youth<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Roma youth<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">international students living in Ni\u0161<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">young people who have never publicly exhibited or published their work<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Motivation, curiosity and willingness to engage in a collective process are more important than having a \u201cperfect\u201d portfolio.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>\u2728<\/b><b> What do you gain by participating?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participation in the programme offers:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a safe and supportive environment for creative work<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mentoring support from established artists and writers<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">development of creative, communication and intercultural skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the opportunity to present your work publicly<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">experience of international and intercultural collaboration<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">participation in a programme supported by the UNESCO Youth for Peace initiative<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participation is free of charge. The number of places is limited.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>\ud83c\udf93<\/b><b> Mentors<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Jovana Bajagi\u0107. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jovana Bajagi\u0107 is a writer and poet from Serbia. Her short stories and poetry have been published in numerous literary magazines, anthologies and online platforms in Serbia and the region. She is the author of the short story collection <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Deca za pri\u010de<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (2016) and the poetry collection <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Muve<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (2023), published by the Association of Writers and Literary Translators of Ni\u0161. She has received several literary awards, and her works have been translated into Spanish and French. In her mentoring work, she focuses on poetry, short prose and the development of personal voice through writing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Mina Stefanovi\u0107. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mina Stefanovi\u0107 is a visual artist from Ni\u0161 working in illustration, photography and short video formats. She has held 24 solo exhibitions and participated in several group exhibitions across Serbia and the region. Her work often explores themes of identity, the body and social norms, and has been exhibited in Ni\u0161, Belgrade, Novi Sad, Podgorica and other cities. She has collaborated with the publishing house <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Svet stripa (Veseli \u010detvrtak)<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as an illustrator. As a mentor, she works with participants on developing visual expression and experimenting with different media.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Nenad Kosti\u0107. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nenad Kosti\u0107 is a poet and literary critic from Ni\u0161. His poetry, prose and critical texts have been published in numerous literary magazines and online platforms in Serbia and the region. He has participated in international literary festivals and workshops and has received several awards for poetry and literary criticism. He is the author of the poetry collection <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How Centaurs Wear Trousers<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (2025). He is actively involved in the contemporary literary scene and in working with young people, with a particular interest in connecting literature with other artistic practices.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>\ud83d\udcdd<\/b><b> How to apply? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applications are submitted via an <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/azYQj85jXKWoM33p9\"><b>online application form (link)<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
