STK OSI Nais and the Club for Youth Empowerment 018 (KOM 018) organized a table tennis tournament for people with disabilities. This sporting event was organized in order to raise awareness of the importance of social inclusion of people with disabilities and to promote equal rights and opportunities for professional and recreational sports. In addition to the tournament, focus groups were organized with representatives of STK OSI NAIS, KKK NAIS, GOAL BALL NAIS, Sports and Recreational Association NAIS and Table Tennis Club NEC. Focus groups are organized to define the biggest problem and challenges that people with some kind of disability face, but also to define recommendations for improving the quality of life of all people with disabilities in local community. These activities were implemented within the #InclusiveNet project implemented by KOM 018 in cooperation with partners: STK OSI “Nais” from Nis – Serbia, Udruga Impress Daruvar from Daruvar – Croatia, Youthorama from Thessaloniki – Greece and the Sppmd Sovet from Kavadarci – North Macedonia. The aim of this project is to develop an informal #InclusiveNet network specifically aimed at organizations and clubs working with young people with disabilities and young people at risk and increase international cooperation among organizations and clubs working in this field through increased capacity to work internationally and exchange good practices. Project is supported by Erasmus + Sport – Small collaborative partnership – of the EU.
