We present to you the guidline Know-how: on organizing intergenerational sport events and family days developed through the BONTS project.

Building Family Bonds Through Sports (BONTS) project is implemented by Association for active life and education (ALE) from Austria in cooperation with Club for Youth Empowerment 018 (KOM 018) from Serbia, Physical Activity Promotion Agency (APGA) from Slovenia, Active Zone Outdoor (AZO) from Cyprus, Lota’s Box from Croatia and Courage Foundation from Bulgaria. The objectives of the project are designed to increase the participation of all families in sports and games by creating adapted versions of existing sports and games so that both younger and older family members can enjoy them and benefit from them. The objectives are:

• Encourage parents and children to actively engage in sport and be more physically active

• Create a set of adapted sports suitable for all family members regardless of their age or disability

• Organise sport events for families with children

• Create a network of professionals devoted to the project’s aim after its end by developing more activities and organising more events.

BONTS project is implemented in the period 01.11.2022 – 31.10.2024 and is co-funded by the European Union.
