Training course within the project “Creativity in service of interethnic understanding and cooperation” was held in Nis. The young people from Bujanovac, Nis and Prokuplje from 23th till 27th November had opportunity to learn together about the importance of interculturalism for individuals and society as a whole. Over the course of five days of this training course, we have acquired new knowledge through interactive workshops and creative methods, dance, graphics, mobile reporting and music. This project is especially important to us because we ourselves live in multi ethnic environments and we recognize that question of understanding and accepting other cultures is very important. This training course is only one of the activities planned within the project. We, with our peers, have been learning how to express, through creativity, ideas about all the positive things that interculturalism provides for our society. We will implement everything that we learned through various activities in our local communities, and so the idea of community will reach more young people. The thematic workshops we attended were the basis for further work because through this form of non-formal education we learned a lot about interculturalism, culture in general and identity booth personal  and ethnic. All of this was an introduction to what followed, which is to create and to express our ideas through some of the creative methods. We have been given the opportunity to have our voices heard and our environment to see that we are interested in learning and breaking down prejudices that prevent young people from multi-ethnic backgrounds from enjoying the wealth of other, neighborly cultures. During this five days we were working together and we had the opportunity to make new friends and share our own experiences, and this is another very important product of the whole project.
